![]() mixbus5įontconfig error: failed reading config fileīind txt domain to /this/cannot/exist I was disappointed not to be able to use SD2, or Sample Tank with little to no latency like I can Linux software, but amazingly enough they do work. I had a lot of video driver problems with the RT Kernels, and windows VSTI.Īfter much work, and some success, I found them to not live up to expectations in performance in Linux. I have tried many Distro's, and posted any struggles I had with a few of them. I generally do not like to have to look through more apps then I need to do the work I set out to do. I haven't tried 18.04, but 17,10 seemed cleaner, without all the extra fluff that Ubuntu Studio loads into it. If you like Ubuntu, you might like Lubuntu better with the necessary parts of KXstudio. It is very stable, and easier to set up with the most important KXstudio programs, and it sets up easily with an RT Kernel if you need that kind of performance. If you liked Manjaro, You should try Antergos. The problem is that I can't get Mixbus started! I installed Manjuro and tested it, now I'm trying Ubuntu 18.04. I'm in the process of shifting my studio from MacOS-based to Linux-based, and I'm trying out different distributions. I had the same thing happen with 15.04 LTS. I also had problems with the blutooth driver hogging the CPU and ended up disabling the device. For me it ended up being quicker to re-install Ubuntu Studio after warm booting the machine the second time I installed it found the hardware ok. There were some packages that was causing some issues with the ALSA and PULSE Audio configuration. ![]() With the ALSA rates and such I had a lot of issues with the kernel not finding the audio hardware on the machine. There is a thread on it here and on the Ardour forum. once the config files are created it seems to be happy. It should start ok if you want to re-install the CLASPA package.įor some reason when the app is starting up and it is scanning for LASPA packages something in that package is causing the app to terminate.
